We became sea creatures. Land near our old home had been ravaged, and the air was changing. Worldwide, water was in bad shape too, but the effects were slower to show.<\/em><\/p>\n

We edged closer to the sea. We acquired new skills. We learned a new language. What we lacked was two sleek thermoformed ABS shells, at least sixteen feet in length. . .<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

We wrote these words early in 2010, after we had begun living in Loreto, in Baja California Sur.\u00a0 This blog recorded our early paddling adventures there.\u00a0 After 2013, we again had a house in the United States, and we now have less contact with our old home in Mexico.\u00a0 Our early entries must be regarded as history rather than current reportage.\u00a0 We hope you’ll enjoy reading about the maritime environment in some other parts of the world as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
